It must be time for a real wedding again. I actually got a little wedding-ed out and had to take a little wedding mini-break. But after the break I'm all refreshed and inspired again and a bright sunny country wedding (with my favourite long tables) seems a great way to bounce back.

![]() Some of you may remember the lovely Annabel from the le bonbon shop. She used to keep everything in shape, under control and looking wonderful and also ran our fabulous tea parties. Well...you may have wondered what she's been up to in her post le bonbon life and I've very excited to tell you about her next project...Two Four Six Ate, a garden to kitchen cooking and learning environment for primary school aged kids. ![]() Annabel is a bit of a cooking dynamo. She has spent 20 years working in catering and spent more than 10 years as a chef cooking meals for those who get to sit up the pointy end of the plane. Mix that with an obviously very green thumb and a passion for educating young minds and the end result is the perfect person to teach children how to harvest, cook and share a food experience that is both enjoyable, healthy and educational.
I went along to see Annabel's garden and kitchen on Saturday and I'm pleased to report that both are positively thriving.
For more information, or to book a cooking class or a birthday party in Annabel's kitchen and garden, please visit the Two Four Six Ate website.
PS. The two four six ate logo was designed by le bonbon. Ivy and Piper Magazine Donna Kennett - Monday, November 08, 2010
There are so many fabulous online magazines emerging that I may never need to go to a newsagent again. Although, in reality, that's seriously unlikely. Having recently done my accounts I've started to realise just how much I spend on magazines - clearly it's a quite an obsession of mine...
![]() Anyway, getting to the point, the newest mag off the web is Ivy and Piper which is one of the first I've seen from our very own Australian shores. If I was you, I'd check it out now - from fashion to shopping to etiquette and fabulous homes, it's quite a feast of perfect pleasures. + Discovered via Absolutely Beautiful Things In the News: The Knot Donna Kennett - Monday, November 01, 2010
The lovely people at the Knot have been extra busy putting together their first Australian hard copy issue which was launched last week. It's got lots of fabulous wedding ideas - gorgeous gowns, hints for colour and great planning advice.
I was also super chuffed that they featured some of our le bonbon stationery.... ![]() ![]()
Channelling: The Blazer Donna Kennett - Friday, October 22, 2010
I'm loving a good blazer at the moment (in particular my black and silver one). I think it works with everything and I've been know to pair it with jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts and trousers (is there anything else??)
I'm clearly not the only one who loves the versatility of this classic... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Images via: + Dress Design Decor (top 3 images) + Garance Dore + Sarah Klassen/Haute Design + Studded Hearts Fresh flowers Donna Kennett - Thursday, October 21, 2010
I love fresh flowers and yesterday I thought I'd treat myself and wander up to Rococco Flowers to buy some fresh flowers for the coffee table in the le bonbon studio. I've no idea what these are called (I'm shocking with flower names) but I love the bright colours...that just happen to match the le bonbon colours perfectly!

Real Wedding: Catherine and Erik Donna Kennett - Monday, October 18, 2010
I discovered this tres chic French wedding over at Design*Sponge and I love it. I think these photos are super romantic, as is the idea of getting married in a quaint little seaside village in France. In my imaginary life as a French girl, this is how I'd have tied the knot.

Happy Sunday Donna Kennett - Sunday, October 17, 2010
Cold and windy Donna Kennett - Saturday, October 16, 2010
It's cold and windy here in Sydney today and feels a lot more like winter than spring. I've already had to change once and now my feet are freezing so time to accept that today is not a sandal day and put on some socks.
I'm headed to our house at the beach to spend the afternoon curled up on the couch reading Vogue magazine and looking out at the wild windy weather. What do you like to do on a cold windy day? ![]() Photo from ELLE Dec 2007 discovered via Dress, Design & Decor Tempting Temperley Donna Kennett - Friday, October 15, 2010
